Theme installation guidelines

A. Distribution

With your “More than themes” premium theme purchase, you will receive the following:

A fully functional html static web site based on the purchased theme [html].
The License information and references to third-party licenses [licenses].
The full-layered psd file(s) this theme is based on [psd].
A full Drupal core distribution with an installation profile [site].

Every single theme you purchase from “More than themes” is more than a simple Drupal theme. It's a complete Drupal distribution including several modules, content types, view pages, view blocks, pre-configured image styles as well as a premium theme tailored together to achieve its functionality. It comes with an installation profile that allows you to have a fully-functional site up and running in few minutes.

B. Installation

B.1 Installation through our installation profile

In order to have the theme you purchased exactly as our demo page (including content), you should use our installation profile.

B.2 Installation over existing site

If however you already have a Drupal installation you have two different options to install our theme.

B.2.1 Installation as a simple theme

All our themes are thoroughly tested to function as simple themes. However if you choose this option your Drupal site will lack the rest of the goodies that are bundled in our distribution (e.g Slideshow, Content types, View pages, View blocks etc).

Installing a new theme is pretty straightforward:

Copy only the theme folder of the package (site/d7/sites/all/themes/ThemeName) to your themes directory in your Drupal installation. You should place your themes in /sites/all/themes/ThemeName
Click Home » Administration » Appearance and enable the new theme (Drupal will auto-detect its presence).

B.2.2 Manual installation over an existing site

With this option you can keep your current content and take advantage of all the premium epicness that comes with our theme. Take note that if your site does not contain a great amount of content it would probably be much easier to use our installation profile and recreate your content there instead of manually installing all the extras of our theme in your instance.
