How to integrate Quick Tabs in your Drupal site

Last Updated: Jan 23, 2014 02:05PM EET
The Quick Tabs module https://drupal.org/project/quicktabs allows you to create blocks of tabbed content, specifically views, blocks, nodes and other quicktabs. You can create a block on your site containing multiple tabs with corresponding content.

The screens and views come from our Premium Responsive PressBlog Drupal theme.

Pressblog 4.x release comes with Quick Tabs integration. The custom tabbed area which was implemented in our previous PressBlog releases (1.x, 2.x, 3.x) has been replaced with a Quicktab instance. The Quicktab instance creates finally a block of tabbed content. With this implementation, you have now the option to reorder the Tabbed area without limits. You can use the Drupal 7’s built-in manage display to re-arrange this block in the sidebar through Home » Administration » Structure » Blocks.

In case of an update from a previous PressBlog release (*) or in case of a PressBlog installation as a simple theme (**), you have always the option to create this Quicktab block. You can find below all the appropriate instructions on how to create it.

1. Download and install the Quick Tabs module - http://drupal.org/project/quicktabs through Home » Administration » Modules

2. Create a Quicktabs instance through Home » Administration » Structure » Quicktabs

3. Add a Quicktabs instance

4. Make the following configuration and Save Quicktabs instance

 - Title
Sidebar Tabs
- Renderer
quicktabs (From this option choose how to render the content)
- Tabs
Latest - Latest articles (Sidebar) block
Popular - Popular articles
Comments - Recent comments
Tags - Tags cloud (tab)

5. Place the new Sidebar Tabs block to the Sidebar First region through Home » Administration » Structure » Blocks and Save this configuration
